24 years after Addams Family Value arrived in theaters, introducing us all to Wednesday Addams’ very particular take on Thanksgiving, a new film centered on Hollywood’s favorite creepy, spooky, kooky family is now in the works. (Presumably, someone heard The Munsters were coming back, and rushed to get a competing “Family of monsters who are also actually pretty nice” project in the works.) Variety reports that Conrad Vernon—who explored some surprisingly deep and philosophical territory with last year’s R-rated Seth Rogen vehicle Sausage Party—is working on an animated film based around Charles Addams’ macabre creations. Monster House and Corpse Bride screenwriter Pamela Pettler, no stranger to the ooky herself, will write the script.
